It's spring

Yesterday I arrived back in BC. A miracle had taken place. Through the mountains, streams that had been held back by the silence of winter, flowed freely, rivers began to swell and as I came down from the mountains, a sea of green met me. Green grass, leaves and shrubs - it was a sight to behold. One walking path through a small town was dotted with daffodils waving in the breeze. As I approached our future home, every valley is covered with bushes bearing white flowers, daisies cover the hillsides and the cherry trees are a riot of pink. I am home!! It is as if God gently touched the earth and said, let's begin again - new life. I feel refreshed and excited for all that is ahead. Our house has not made as much progress as I would have liked but it is still going to be wonderful and hopefully next week is our turn. Wish you all could be here and bask in the sun. Naomi I'll try to post pictures later.

Snowy Alberta

Hi friends,

We arrived back in Alberta pleasantly surprised that there was no snow. We woke up yesterday morning not so pleased to see the white flakes a comin' down in pancakes!! It didn't stay on the ground but the forecast seems to have forgotten it is spring!! We are home for meetings and such and head back next week to blooming flowers and spring! It was fun to see all of my quilting friends and catch up with our other friends as well. We are blessed. Naomi for the family.

How wonderful to share our new location with our kids. Our youngest arrived on Friday night and God turned up the heat as we enjoyed 20 degree weather. J. comes tonight and says she doesn't care if it pours, she is just going to enjoy a week off!! Little does she know all the chores her dad has in store for her :) The lake is tranquil and pickin cold as K's toes found out!! Blessing on all of you as we begin a new week

Happy Easter

Spring has come to this fair province and is supposed to get up to 22 tomorrow. That caused our son to pack summer shorts and anticipate the warmth!! The rough plumbing has been put into the house and there are HUGE boulders in the basment where the guys put in a sewer pump!!! H. has a bit more wrap to put on but I am sure his son will assist as he visits for the weekend.

Mom is recovering well andI am glad I can be here for her. I do long to be swinging in my hammock by the creek but.............

Easter makes me reflect on so many blessings. Family (yipee they are able to join us this weekend) friends - we miss you, and our faith. We serve a risen Jesus Christ which gives us peace for today and hope for tomorrow. We trust you will take time this weekend to thank the Lord for your blessings and the strength to go through the tough times. Happy Easter for He is Risen - He is risen indeed! N.

A New Day

Hi friends,

We put the wrap on the basement with the help of our friends, Archie and Wendy. It was like putting on huge rolls of very sticky mactac!!! Today I head up to care for mom for awhile as she is being released from the hospital today. This is why we are here. H is helping the neighbour put on a new roof (just rolls of tar and paper) It is chilly today but no snow :)

We have had lots of company stop by and have loved it. If you are in the area, give us a call and do stop in, sign our guest book, and have a cup of tea. Blessings, N.
