Home Sweet Home

For those of you who follow our blog, we are here, moved in and almost finished the basement. I will have pics soon but my wireless isn't working and so the pics are on the laptop. We love our new home and continue to be amazed by it. We finished the famly room last night and give it a Western feel so it has become H's favourite room. The yard is all leveled, most of our lights work, we managed to move without dinging any walls and our help was amazing. Our kids plus one all came out and some of my extended family came to help and cater to our eating needs. It is hard to believe that was a week ago. So much has happened and we have worked our tails off!!

Tomorrow we are leading worship at our new church and are thrilled to be a part of such a warm fellowship. If I can get up the energy, we are going to invite everyone over for dessert after we indulge in Chinese food across the street at noon.

The spare room is finished and has already had a guest so please stop by. We would love to see all of you.

almost home

The big move happens this weekend and I am soooooooooo ready. Well, maybe not for all the work of moving but certainly to become a permanent resident somewhere. I have just come home from helping with the music at a ladie's retreat sharing the joy with my niece, sister in law and new friends. What an amazing time we had. It was a lovely uplift in the midst of a very busy schedule. This will be a busy week of packing, repacking but enjoying the company of all our children for the move. We are so blessed. We have our first company after our moving crew leave, on Tuesday and can hardly wait.

Autumn in BC

We are back for the last time before we move into our new home. We are busy trying to get tile in the basement and trim everywhere downstairs. We are only here until Monday and then head back to AB for speaking committments and then....... the final move. We feel so blessed as we still love our 5th wheel even after all these months of living in it and we will deeply miss our roommates in AB as we move out of our basement digs. We seem to be alone in the house but this week are enjoying lights, the pellet stove and toilets that work!! It has been raining but is cozy under roof. Today I am setting up my sewing machine to get some stuff prepared for moving day!! Howard doesn't understand the need for curtains at this point in time!! :) Silly boy. We are so grateful for his successful knee surgury and he is busy laying tile in the basement, thankful for good knee pads. Your bedroom will soon be ready!! We look forward to each and every visit.

We said goodbye to our home church of 20 years last Sunday. We thank the Lord for the opportunites to serve and the many wonderful people we have shared friendship with over the years. We are so blessed.
